Using Facebook and Instagram Stories

Facebook and Instagram Stories is a feature that allows users to post photos or videos to their account, that vanish after 24 hours. Stories are a great opportunity to share news and information, behind the scenes content and to give your brand personality.

Viewing Stories

On both Facebook and Instagram, you will see the stories feed at the top of the homepage. On Facebook you can see a preview of the story, and on Instagram you will see the profile image of someone you follower.

To view, simply click on the preview or profile image, and the story will appear in full screen mode. From here, you can leave the stories running, and watch through all the latest posted stories from all of your followers. Click on the right hand side to advance to the next story, click on the left side to go back. Swiping will skip all stories from one user and take you to the next. When viewing, you can also reply to stories, like them or share them.

Adding to Your Stories

From the homepage, simply click the + sign at the top of the screen and choose story to post to your Instagram account. On Facebook, you will see the + sign at the beginning of the story feed, click this.

Once you’ve chosen the content you would like to share, you can add in features such as text, stickers, polls, question boxes and more.
