Exploring the Power of TikTok: Insights from the Latest Business Tapas Workshop

The latest session of the Business Tapas Mini-Series took place on 13th February, and what an insightful and engaging workshop it was!

Led by marketing expert Rebecca Hopwood, “The World of TikTok” workshop provided attendees with a gateway to understanding and leveraging one of the fastest-growing social platforms for brand visibility. Rebecca guided participants through the fundamentals of TikTok, offering practical advice on how to navigate key features and engage their audiences, she had this to say after the session “It’s always a pleasure to introduce ambitious business owners to The World of TikTok! For many start-ups and early-stage businesses, it’s a completely new experience, so it’s exciting to open their eyes to its potential—how it can help them and, hopefully, make it feel a little less daunting. As we explore the platform’s tools and opportunities, we focus on ways they can start telling their story and creating content that’s eye-catching and engaging. We also dive into how influencer marketing is shaping the online experience, showing business owners that they don’t have to do it all alone—they can collaborate, share, and celebrate what they do. I’m truly passionate about this session, so it was a real pleasure to be invited to share it as part of the Business Tapas series.”

From content creation strategies to understanding the algorithm, attendees left the session equipped with the tools and confidence needed to build their presence on TikTok. The interactive format allowed participants to ask questions, gain tailored insights, and explore creative ways to enhance their brand storytelling through short-form video content.

With this workshop, the Business Tapas Mini-Series continues to empower local businesses with modern digital marketing skills. Looking ahead, the final session, “Demystifying AI,” led by AI expert Pat Szubryt on 25th February, will provide insights into artificial intelligence and its potential for businesses. Attendees will explore AI strategy development, real-world applications, and ethical best practices to integrate AI into their business operations effectively.
