Business Tapas: Shortlisted for Most Innovative Project of the Year at the IED Annual Awards 2024!

The IED awards recognise achievers in the public and private sector through a series of individual, team and organisational categories. The winners will be revealed at the IED Awards Dinner on 6th November, following the IED Annual Conference which this year is themed Economic Transition – How do we deliver long-lasting change in our towns, cities and regions?’.

We are honoured to have been shortlisted in the category ‘Most Innovative Project of the Year’ – sponsored by Growth Maturity Index, and recognised alongside such esteemed company.

This category celebrates innovative economic development projects that are pushing the boundaries beyond traditional approaches.

The category shortlist is as below:

  • Business Tapas, Cheshire West and Chester Council.
  • Enterprise Facilitation Project, Blaenau Gwent Country Borough Council.
  • Greater Manchester Foundational Economy Innovation Fund, Greater Manchester Combined Authority Economy Team.

Cheshire West and Chester Council (CWaC) Business Growth Team is dedicated to strengthening the commercial resilience of organisations across the borough. Business Tapas is now integral to CWaC’s UKSPF Business Support Programme, enhancing the in-person activity being delivered through CWaC’s Business, Innovation & Growth (BIG) Hubs.

Business Tapas is an innovative digital knowledge hub, designed to accelerate business growth and empower local economies. Providing tailored resources that allow for autonomous learning, content is delivered in ‘bitesize’ portions, supporting companies of all sizes and stages – from large enterprises to start-ups and not-for-profits.
