SEO for Socials

Social platforms are becoming search engines in their own right.

Whilst Google remains the most popular when it comes to search, there has been a significant behavioural shift in the way people are searching online. Particularly among younger audiences, social media platforms are becoming more and more popular for everyday searches.

Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are no longer just places for entertainment and connection; users are now using these platforms for discovery, reviews, educational and practical information.

For example, “best restaurants in [town],” “how to [DIY project],” or “[product] review.”

As such, these platforms are now appearing within searches as sources – both within search engines and in AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini.

To capitalise on this, your platform bios, content descriptions, tags and the like must now be treated with the same keyword diligence previously reserved for website meta descriptions.

By extending your optimisation efforts across your social media presence, you ensure maximum visibility across all digital platforms.
