ChatGPT Atlas – The New OpenAI Browser

OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Atlas: a new web-browsing tool designed to merge search and chat functionality.

Instead of switching between pages and ChatGPT, the assistant is embedded into the browser itself, helping you complete tasks, understand content, and find information, all without leaving the page. Plus, conversations can draw on previous chats and details automatically, making the assistant more personalised and helpful.

This move represents another step towards a fully conversational web experience.

Atlas can do a whole host of things, one of them being ‘agent mode’. Using this mode, users can ask ChatGPT to complete small tasks in the browser on their behalf. This includes activity such as researching products, booking appointments, sending emails or organising tasks inside your browser.
