Your Guide to Identifying Audience Personas

What is an audience persona?

It is a detailed description of someone who represents your target audience. The persona is fictional but should be based on research of your existing or desired audience. You may have more than one, depending on your business goals.

The better you know your audience, the more effectively you will be able to reach them.

What does an audience persona include?

  • Demographic details
  • Interests
  • Behavioural traits
  • Goals
  • Pain points and challenges
  • Buying patterns

Why use an audience persona?

Once audience personas have been defined, they can be utilised to help with product development, driving content creation, and ensuring customer acquisition and retention.

Having these ensures that addressing customer priorities is the focus of your strategy, creating effectively targeted advertising. Does the content or campaign address the needs and goals of at least one of your audience personas?
