Ways to Make Your Business More Sustainable

How can your business make steps towards becoming more sustainable in the way it operates? Here’s some tips to point you in the right direction.

1. Check Your Business Activity

What do you do in your daily activity that can be changed to reduce energy consumption?

Actions such as turning off lights and equipment when not in use, turning down the heating and managing your air conditioning units, looking to improve on recycling and waste, or holding virtual meetings where possible.

2. Consider Your Suppliers

Do you use local and sustainable suppliers? Are you using recyclable packaging or materials, and if not, could you make this change?

3. Are Your Deliveries Sustainable?

If your business offers delivery services, this is another area to look at improving. Things such as grouping multiple orders or offering bulk deliveries can help to reduce transportation. If working alongside an external courier, do they have a commitment to reducing climate change? Are their values aligned with yours?
